Our Bakery

Our lovely cooks are busy every day baking a delicious range of cakes and tray bakes, including flapjacks, brownies and shortbread. Every day we make fresh scones – plain, fruit and cheese, as well as seasonal specials, such as lavender or rose petal. (We also stock an unparalleled range of jams and clotted cream to go on them!)

Our cooks make fruit and savoury pies, crumbles and ready meals (meat and vegetarian) for you to cook at home. We also sell a range of gluten-free products made in the next village.

We have fresh bread delivered daily from three small, local bakeries and each day we also provide a range of hot pasties, meat and vegetarian, and sausage rolls made locally in Sussex by one of our ex-butchers.

If you have a ‘Pavlova crisis’ there are even locally-made meringues. There is also a huge array of sweet biscuits, none of which we make, but all of which we enjoy with our tea or coffee.
