Open from 10:00am – 4:00pm

Come and join in on the farm! Spend a day in a farmer’s boots, meeting our lovely animals and getting stuck in during our timed events.

Let loose with your imagination in our play park, music area and hay play barn.

Please note: the play structures and the hay play barn are for under 12 year olds only.

Open farm timetable

Open farm timetable from 31st March 2025

11:00am | Meet a chicken or duck and their chicks or ducklings in the animal barn

12 noon | Small animal feeding in the animal barn

1:00pm | Meet the small animals in the animal barn

2:00pm | Feed the piglets in poultry field

3:00pm | Feed the chickens in the picnic area

Season ticket holders

If you are a Season Ticket holder for the Open Farm please call or email in advance to your visit. This is so we can manage the number of visitors per session. This is particularly important at Peak times.

Daily entry | £10 per person 
Annual season tickets | £50 per person

(Entry is free for carers* and children under 3. Please select the free ticket option when booking tickets.)

Before your visit

Open farm opening times: 10:00am to 4:00pm

We are open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Click to view our current opening times for other departments throughout Middle Farm

Unfortunately, we can only allow assistance dogs into the open farm, or inside the tearoom and shops.

We offer free entry for one carer accompanying a paying visitor who can provide evidence of one of the following:

Disability Living Allowance (DLA)

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

Attendance Allowance

Access Card with the Essential Companion (+1) symbol

I-go Card

Compass Card

National Disability Card

Care for The Carers Card (ESCC)

Carers Support (WSCC)

Please note: the evidence provided must be dated within the last two years. Such evidence must be shown to staff at our entrance gates. If evidence is not present or not in-date, the full charge for entry will be required. Carers must be 16 years or older.
