Spend the rest of the summer holidays down on the farm
There are still two fantastic Big Wednesdays to come this summer.
With the suggestion of an August heatwave on the way, Middle Farm is promising to be the perfect family day out this August.
For the rest of the summer holidays, the West Firle farm, near Lewes has some fantastic family events lined up. The renowned Middle Farm Open Farm will be open daily, featuring animal meet and greets, feeding time, interesting educational talks about the working farm, and animal enrichment training displays.
During the last two Wednesdays of the month, the Big Wednesday fun continues with two more instalments of farm fun. On Wednesday 18th August, there will be a bouncy castle and a farmyard sing-along with local popular singers Melodie and Robyn. The following week, things get magical with a special magic performance from children’s party entertainers Fairy Dust Events.
Ellie Stiles, Open Farm Supervisor, at Middle Farm, said, “Our Big Wednesday events have been really popular so far, and we’d love people to join us for the last two instalments. All of the other family favourites are still available throughout the week, including our Open Farm daily event timetable where you can meet the animals and watch them feed, the award-winning Farm Shop and Cider Barn, plus our beautiful Plant Shop and Tea Room.
“We’ve had lots of happy visitors so far this summer, all telling us that their visit was the perfect chance for their young ones to learn more about the animals, see what happens on a working farm, and enjoy some much-needed time outdoors. We hope you can join us over the next couple of weeks.”
Middle Farm is open seven days a week, and entry to the open farm is £6. Tickets to the Big Wednesday events are £7 each and includes everything going on that day and can be booked online at www.middlefarm.com. Under 3s and carers go free.
