Summer holidays are here, and so is our fantastic line-up of exciting activities and events planned to keep you and your family entertained throughout August!
With sports days, falconry static displays, magicians, singers and bouncy castles – alongside new animal feeding, training and meet and greets…
Here’s why Middle Farm is THE place to visit this summer.
Open Farm Summer Holiday Timetable
Running every day from 22nd July – 1st September we’re hosting family-friendly activities. Get to know and learn more about our animals with meet and greets, feeding and training displays. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to get up close to our big and small animals.

Big Wednesdays at Middle Farm
Every Wednesday in August we are running a wide range of extra special activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Join us at Middle Farm Sports Day for egg & spoon and sack races, marvel at the majestic Falconry Display, let the kids burn off energy on our Bouncy Castle, be entertained by singers and magicians and jump at the opportunity to learn magic skills!
Wednesday 4th August: Middle Farm Sports Day
Our fun-packed sports day promises to be great fun for the entire family. We’ve got traditional sports day races, an agility obstacle course, a sports quiz with sweets for those who compete!
Meet and greets and feedings are running too, and our famous hay play barn and outdoor playground are open all day.
You’ll also have the chance to sit in a tractor (parents – get the cameras at the ready), enjoy craft events for when you need a little rest and attempt a spot of painting in the barn (if raining).

Wednesday 11th August: Sussex Falconry Static Display
Back by popular demand, local company Sussex Falconry is spending the day with us to display a collection of awe-inspiring birds of prey.
You’ll be able to get up close to experience these magnificent birds, ask the falconers questions and use the opportunity to capture some social media-worthy photos!
Get a sneak peek at the Sussex Falconry team now – here’s them making a guest appearance on BBC’s “The One Show”.
If you can tear yourself away from these impressive birds, there’s also a painting, a tractor photo opportunity, and the whole Open Farm to enjoy.
Cost: £7 per person and includes EVERYTHING going on that day.

Wednesday 18th August: Bouncy Castle and Singers
An all-day family fun-packed event on the farm filled with bouncy castles and fabulous singing entertainment with two shows at 12-12.45pm and 1.15-2pm.
There’ll also be plant pot painting, straw bales for climbing on, and our trusty tractor providing the perfect photo opportunity. And, of course, the whole farm to explore as usual.
Cost: £7 per person and includes EVERYTHING going on that day.
Under 3’s are free.
Wednesday 25th August: Magic Entertainers
Children’s party entertainers from ‘Fairy Dust Events’ are back by popular demand, joining us for the day to spread magic and joy to the farm! It’s all highly interactive and is sure to enthral both young and old.
There are two showtimes to choose from
Show 1: 12.00 (midday) – 12.45pm
Show 2: 1.15pm – 2.00pm
After the show, you can turn your hand to decorating magic hats and wands, explore the farm, meet the animals, run around the playground or our famous hay play barn.
Cost: £7 per person and includes EVERYTHING going on that day.
Under 3’s are free.
